Why Tree Stump Grinding?
When removing a tree or large shrub to ground level, a portion of the trunk, including the roof structure remains in the ground, this is call the stump. A tree stump can remain in the ground without causing harm, however you may wish to replant, lay lawn or other hard landscaping.
Restoring Ground
We can also level and prepare areas of ground and lay turf or grass seed after removing stumps. Waste wood created by the stump grinder can be mixed with the soil and will quickly decompose as mulch.

How we remove stumps
A stump can be removed most efficiently with a machine called a stump grinder. Larger stump removals can be undertaken by digging and winching.
When these techniques are not an option due to space or size, stumps can be ground down to below surface level by machine. We have a petrol-powered stump grinding machine that can fit through a standard doorway or passage so is perfect for domestic gardens with difficult access.
If we have already removed your trees and shrubs we can offer you stump grinding at a reduced rate.

Fully equipped
We have a Predator 360 stump grinder, which uses a rotating blunt tooth to work through tough stumps and root material. It has an impressive grinding depth given its small width, for hard to reach domestic gardens.
For larger site clearance we can hire a variety of equipment, with grinders or excavators mounted on tractors or diggers.
